Who makes you feel more safe, Obama or McCain?
October 13, 2008 - McCain will do his best to keep us safe Ofcourse living in this day and time no one is ... It's almost like blaming credit card companies for irresponsible card-holders who then ...
I feel a lot safer knowing I can keep a firearm. Obama will do his best to take that security from me. Then when I am awaken in the middle of the night by someone breaking into my house, what will i reach for? I suppose I could always try to talk with them, I'm sure they would see it my way and leave peacefully. My personal security is what I worry about, I don't worry about the war or wars, our military is the best. But you need a military mind to be the chief.
- Silly question, John McCain... no way Barack Obama could even qualify as president. only experience he had was a community organizer inChicago.. how pathetic. to even think this man is running for president.
- McCain.
neither one!....talking, or using force will not be an option for very long....the first is useless.... the second will need more wisdom, strength, determination and know how that what he can offer....I won't feel safe with Obama, if his job was to try to convince kids not to play with matches, not to handle WW3!
- Absolutely McCain!
- John McCain
- They're both a menace.
- Mccain, at least, he's been there, done that, plus has a 19 year old son in Iran to look out for, tho he never mentions his son & the war, I admire that, when he could use it as a political tool.
McCain! I am sorry but America is not ready for someone like Obama. Our healthcare will suck, he is for abortions on demand which is really sad even for those born alive if aborted, he thinks they should lay there and die... And please tell me why should we elect someone who can't even stand up for the pledge of Alligiance... That is so wrong. OBAMA IS NOT A REAL AMERICAN.....McCain is!!!
Though McCain is not the perfect candidate, these days who would be. We are looking for someone who can fix everything. We do not need someone telling us we need to learn Spanish, when you go to a border town and there are no English signs. Where today Mexican children are taught in school that Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California was stolen from the Mexican people. Before you decide which person to vote for, write down all the issues that directly affect you, then see where the candidate sits on your issues. If you think having no insurance is bad, wait until the government runs the health care system if Obama gets elected. If you think life will get better if Medical is paid for, Obama said there will be a cost, those who cannot afford it before will most likely will not afford it later.
- I think both will protect America.
- Got to be McCain, not happy with him, but would trust his judgment a lot quicker than the big O!
- McCain's experince gives me a greater feeling of security and safty. ... BHO scares me and makes me fear for the future of my children and grand children.
MCCAIN AND HERE;S WHY: ... 5. Obamas Senate Experience: 143 days ... Barack Obama logged exactly 143 days of experience in the U.S. Senate before setting his sights on winning the White House. ... Obama was sworn in as a senator on Jan. 4, 2005, and he announced that he was forming a presidential exploratory committee on Jan. 16, 2007. In that interval, the Senate was in session and working for 143 days, according to GOPUSAs blog The Loft. ... Thats the equivalent of less than 21 seven-day weeks. ... After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be commander in chief, leader of the free world, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan, Cheri Jacobus writes on the blog. ... In contrast, presidential rival John McCains resume includes 26 years in Congress and 22 years of military service, including his 1,966 days as a POW in Vietnam.
- McCain. Obama is spineless, undecisive, flip flops between stances, and has how much military or law enforcement experience??? And how much political experience? Obama is a puppet and a joke
- Oh, Obama for sure. He is calm, stable, focused. I'm sure he could and would make excellent split secound decisions. Intelligent decisions.
When I was tooling up Interstate 29 in the wee hours of the morning of September 11, 2001 I felt like God was in heaven and all was right with the world. Does anyone remember that one of the news stories that early morning was about Donald Rumsfeld's plan to streamline the military? I thought not. Nobody pays attention to what's happening because everyone is too busy having an emotional reaction to what already happened. No politician should ever make you feel safe. If he does you are not paying close enough attention. I thought we were made of stouter stuff but the wide-eyed innocence with which we met 9/11 woke me up. Vote for the guy who makes you feel good. Americans always want to feel good. It's why the war is so troubling. Even when you are as shallow as a looking glass it's hard to feel good when good people are dying voluntarily because they know your freedom is worth it even if you don't.
McCain, because he's a Republican ---- and when the going gets tough --- the tough go shopping ---- as in, ANOTHER war (against whomever). ... In short ---- since he is a virtual clone of Bush ---- he would most certainly be tougher on any aggression towards the U.S. ... Obama? Too new --- too inexperienced. He'll run to the first K-Mart and lock himself into the bathroom if it gets "tough". MY opinon! ---- don't "dump" on me !!
- JOHN MCCAIN WITHOT THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT
Obama because he doesn't rush to make decision unless necessary! His patience and willingness to think things thru(with the America people & Troops) Safety at the front. The cause of "War" is very important not to be used as first strike.Obama has better "Diplomatic" skills than someone who has been a P.O.W. and has "No Surrender" at mind! I feel McCain is "War" happy!
- McCain only cares about money and power. McCain is a Bald Face Liar ! McCain will bury America!
Absolutely Obama.......He is reasonable....calm in the face of adversity.....a great negotiator. McCain has a violent temper and doesn't think before he speaks. Let's not forget: ... Bomb bomb Iran, cigarette export comments, social security comments, are we imagining/whining about problems in the economy?
SAFE FROM WHAT? ... More people die from lack of health care because they can't afford health insurance than were murdered by terrorist on 9/11. ... 343,000 people lost homes this year as the result of the administration's policy of letting banking and mortgage industries be self-regulating rather than government regulated. ... If costs of heating oil and electric/gas energy continue to rise, how safe will it be for the thousands of families who no longer can not afford to pay their utility bills? ... These are "quality of life" issue. Now ask yourself, which candidate will make you "feel" safer.
- at this point neither one of them makes me feel safe
- McCain by far. Obama is spineless, he would appease everyone and anyone if it ment him getting hurt.
- McCain by far ... Obama doesn't respect the flag - he is Muslim and he is only became a Citizen of the U.S. early on - I thought to be president you Must be born in the US - Obama was not.
Obama is in touch with the world today... McCain seems to still be in the Bush frame of mind. And, I feel like it's others ie; the Republican machine making his decisions. With Obama, he's the boss, but surrounded with an unselfish, intelligent team of people that understand what direction we need to go as a country.
- Neither ... I won't choose between those two because that's like leaving your child in the care of a molester or another toddler!
Please Bush = McCain couldn't vote for the death and destruction in 2000 or 2004 won't vote for it in 2008. ANYONE is better than another republican it was the republican control congrees senate that got us here in the first place it will take the democrats comtrol to save this country. what are all you republicans so affraid of that you'll choose a 72 year old to PROTECT you what is he protecting you from Iraq never attacked us and that's who Bush is protercting you from.
- Feeling safe is not the key. ... ... No leader can guarantee safety. ... ... McCain, clearly, is better prepared, in all respects, to provide better guidance toward protection, freedom, and prosperity for the USA.
