Can I request a higher APR for my credit cards? Or do I have to miss a few months of payments first?
February 26, 2009 - I'm sick and tired of having a low APR on my credit cards. I feel like I am cheating the credit card companies. Especially in these tough economic times.
I want to know if they will increase my APR if I call and ask them to. I don't want to wait a couple of months for them to do it. Has anyone tried doing this before?
- I'm sick of not being unemployed and losing my house. I'm sick of only getting 3% on a cd, I want to get less. You probably don't even carry balances on your credit card. I bet $10 bucks. /
- You should try Vanquis. They do a nice little offer for only 49% APR.
- A lame attempt at humor. Get a life.
- Ya, yiou shoult be ashamed of yiourself! Zose poor credit card companies! Unt banks! Unt mortgage firms! You call and ask....no, DEMAND....they do it right away!
If I am listening to the news correctly, all of this credit business is part of the nation's problem. As you are concerned with the tough economic times, you should pay your credit card bill in full, stop carrying a balance, and help all of America rather than the credit card companies only.
- You have all day to come up with a sillier question than this one. Isn't it time for you to go to school?
- Huh? No, you aren't cheating the credit card companies. You should have been happy with low apr because it would save your money. If they increase your apr and It will make them a lot of money so you lose so much money. Think about it.
